Cofnod - North Wales Environmental Information Service Logo
Cofnod collects, collates and manages environmental data, providing it through a range of products to inform decision-making in planning, development and wildlife conservation.

Cofnod is a not-for-profit organisation and is accredited by the Association of Local Environmental Records Centres (ALERC).

What do we do?
We provide environmental information to a range of clients including ecological consultants, utility companies, local people, conservation bodies, land-owners, students and many others. To request data please use our Data Request page, which will let us know who you are and what you require. Once we've received your request we will deliver results using our fast and reliable service, presented through our unique online mapping tool eMapper.

What data do we hold?
We hold over 5 million wildlife records gathered from a range of volunteer and professional recorders across North Wales, plus information about Local Wildlife and Geological Sites. If you want to know more about the data we hold View Dataset Information, or if you you need to find out about data provided by other LERCs outside our area, use the ALERC Find your LERC tool.
